What is not allowed in our dumpsters?​​​

Our hauling service doesn’t cover tires, appliances with freon, food, liquid paint, propane and/or other pressurized containers, hazardous materials, poisonous chemicals, medical and industrial waste, oil, appliances, explosives, electronics, and similar items. If any of these items are disposed of in dumpsters, the individual shall be responsible for the cost of cleanup and proper disposal or prohibited items.

Will I be able to get a dumpster in the location where it is needed most?

We will place our dumpsters in the location you need to the best of our ability. However, we will need enough room to roll off the dumpster and retrieve it. If there is a possibility that we will get stuck on the delivery or pickup due to mud or other reasons, we may need to find a more suitable location. Blue Star Roll-Offs will do our very best to meet your needs and protect your site, but we are not responsible for any damage to the property.

​Will my dumpster be picked up automatically?

No. You will need to call as soon as you are done loading it, at which point we will stop the rent and schedule a pickup.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

All dumpster rentals are for 30 days. There will be a charge of $25 per week for any rental that extends beyond 30 days.

​How full can I load a dumpster?

For regular construction debris and trash, fill to the brim. For concrete, dirt, sand, rock, brick, or any other dense material, please confirm with us as to the correct fill load. Let us know before-hand if you plan to load the dumpsters with trash-free clean concrete, dirt, or rock, as we may be able to dispose of these types of loads without additional tonnage fees.
The limit for one load is 7 tons. If dumpsters are loaded above this weight, you may be required to unload some of it before we can haul additional materials. This would be at your cost, so please check with us if you are unsure.
Due to DOT regulations, the dumpster can NOT be filled over the top. All loads must be tarped down and secured, so please do not fill your dumpster over the top rail. If the dumpster is filled over the top, you may be required to unload some of it before the dumpster can be hauled legally.

If the customer cannot be reached and the overfilled dumpster cannot be taken care of immediately and the driver must make a return trip, then an additional fee (minimum $50) will be charged.

​What are the dumpster dimensions?

  • 12-Yard Dumpster: 12′ (L) x 7′ 6″ (W) x 4′(H)
  • 20-Yard Dumpster: 19′ 6″ (L) x 7′ (W) x 4′(H)
  • 30-Yard Dumpster: 19’ 6″ (L) x 7′ (W) x 6′(H)

​Can I move the dumpster myself while it is on-site?

For safety reasons, please do not move the dumpster if at all possible. If it needs to be moved, we will be happy to come and move it for you for an additional fee.

​What forms of payment do we accept?

Blue Star Roll-Offs accepts cash, credit cards, and checks with proper identification. Payment must be received on or before delivery. In all cases, your ticket will be held “open” until the dumpster has been either dumped or retrieved. At that point, we will add any ton overages per load, time overages per load, and applicable taxes to your bill before we charge your account. Tires, mattresses, etc. will be an additional $10.00 each.

​Are roll off dumpsters the only service that we provide?

​Sales Tax

Blue Star Roll-Offs will add Kentucky Sales Tax to all invoices.

​Property Damage Waiver

It is the policy of Blue Star Roll-Offs to guarantee delivery to paved driveways or gravel driveways with hard surfaces only. We will not be held responsible for any towing bills for hauling trucks stuck on-hard surface driveways, sidewalks, trees, or for any property damage after leaving a hard-surface driveway.

Due to the size and weight of trucks required to deliver dumpsters, Blue Star Roll-Offs will not be responsible for any damage to driveways, paved or graveled, while delivering or picking up dumpsters. It is the responsibility of the renter/owner to clearly mark all obstacles prior to dumpster delivery.

The undersigned acting as owner or agent for the owner understands this agreement and releases Blue Star Roll-Offs from any liability. The owner or agent for the owner is responsible for all towing costs if the renter/owner requests delivery of the dumpster off a paved driveway or hard-surface gravel driveway.

​Dumpster Damage

The renter and/or property owner is responsible for any damage that occurs to the dumpster while on their property. If the dumpster suffers fire damage due to the renter’s negligence or a third party, the property owner/renter is responsible for the repair bills or replacement of the dumpster. If the renter damages the dumpster while loading the dumpster with heavy equipment, the renter and/or property owner is financially responsible for the damage incurred. The renter and/or property owner will be invoiced for the damage to the dumpster. If payment isn’t received for the damages incurred within seven days of receipt of the invoice, then the charges will be placed on the credit or bank card given at the time of delivery.
